I forgot how hard writing can be.

I make my students write all the time, and I pretend to write with them.

But I never need to turn my writing into a finished piece.

I have no due date, and there are no stakes.

And then Reunion came up again.

And there was a due date, and there were some stakes.

And I realized that I forgot how hard writing can be.
